- 1 ripe banana
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1 medium apple, cored and chopped (preferably Fuji or Honeycrisp)
- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk (or any milk of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds (optional)
- Ice cubes (about 1 cup, or to your desired thickness)
Instructions
- Peel the ripe banana and slice it into smaller pieces.
- Rinse the strawberries under cold water, hull them, and slice in half or quarter if large.
- Wash the apple, core it, and chop into small chunks, leaving the skin on for added fiber.
- Measure out chia seeds if using.
- In a blender, add the banana, strawberries, apple chunks, almond milk, Greek yogurt, and honey or maple syrup (if using).
- Add about a cup of ice cubes.
- Blend on low speed, gradually increasing to high speed for about 30-60 seconds until smooth. Scrape down the sides if necessary.
- If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk and blend again. If too thin, add more ice or fruit.
- Taste the smoothie and adjust sweetness with more honey or maple syrup if needed. A squeeze of lemon juice can add tartness.
- Blend again if youve added anything.
- Pour the smoothie into a glass or bowl. Garnish with slices of fresh fruit or a sprinkle of chia seeds.
- Enjoy with a straw or spoon!
